Choosing the right location can completely transform your boudoir photography experience. As a Saint Louis boudoir photographer, I count myself lucky to have so many beautiful spaces to work in!

Most of my Boudoir by Bri photoshoot sessions take place in my home studio just north of downtown Saint Louis. It’s warm, welcoming, private, and comes at no extra cost to you, which makes it a perfect option for many clients. But sometimes, a client wants a space that reflects their personal aesthetic or carries special meaning or connection to themselves or their relationship (if the boudoir photos are a gift). Some clients opt to do their boudoir sessions at a dreamy Airbnb, stylish hotel suite, inside their own homes, or even entirely outdoors at a secluded spot. I love getting to shoot at a new place—it always feels like playing on a new playground for me—so don’t hesitate to say so if that’s what you’d prefer!

If you’re considering a location outside of my studio, one of my biggest tips is to choose a space that offers more than just a bed. Smaller hotel rooms work beautifully for quick sessions or single–outfit packages, but for longer shoots with multiple looks, having a variety of backgrounds keeps everything fresh and dynamic. My light kit is fully portable, so I can create flattering lighting pretty much anywhere, but a space with natural light is always an added bonus.

Whether you treat yourself to a peaceful solo night or turn it into a romantic date, the experience becomes more than a photoshoot, it becomes a memory.
