Boudoir Photography Prices in St. Louis:

What Does a Session Actually Cost?

Something unfortunate I’ve found is that a lot of women are intrigued by the idea of doing a boudoir photoshoot, but they assume it’s something they can’t afford. The experience certainly sounds like a luxury purchase.

As you’ve probably guessed, boudoir photography pricing can vary quite a bit depending on the photographer, the length of your session, and what's included in your package. A lot of photographers charge separate fees for digital images, or require that clients purchase packages of prints, canvases, albums, etc.

When I first started Boudoir by Bri, it was really important to me to always have pricing that the average woman (like me!) could afford. We all deserve a pampering day once in a while!

A couple other pet peeves I have are 1. when pricing isn’t listed clearly and honestly, and 2. someone trying to upsell me. So you’ll find none of that here.

At Boudoir by Bri, I offer three boudoir photography packages designed to accommodate different budgets, preferences, and goals. Whether you're looking for a short, affordable session or a more luxurious experience with professional hair and makeup, there's an option. Also, all packages can be paid in installments.

Let's break down the prices, what's included, and how to decide which package might be right for you. You can also see the details listed out more concisely on my Boudoir Packages tab!

How Much Does Boudoir Photography Cost in St. Louis?

1. The “Tease” Package: Affordable Boudoir Photography for $199

This package is your best bet if your main concern is budget, or you only want a small batch of photos to celebrate yourself or surprise your significant other.

For $199, you'll receive a 30-minute photoshoot, in 1 outfit, and 10 professionally edited digital images available for download from your private online gallery.

I never want you to feel like you have to spend more than you can afford, and you’re not going to be feeling sexy if you’re stressed about the price. Tease appointments are great! However, do keep in mind that 30 minutes goes by quickly! Often, I’ll notice that my client is just beginning to get into her groove right as it’s time to wrap up. But, if you’re naturally confident and comfortable in front of the camera, that might not be an issue for you at all!

2. The Angel Package: a well-rounded Boudoir Experience for $599

Best for clients who want a little more time, variety, and a beautiful collection of photographs without splurging on the luxury package.

If I had to pick a favorite package, the Angel would be it! The Bombshell package (my largest) is amazing, but I definitely start to notice my clients’ stomach growls and yawns when we get to that final outfit! The Angel package, however, is like a Goldilocks package. It gives us enough time to explore different looks, settle into the experience, and create a varied collection of images without going all the way up to my luxury package.

For $599, the Angel package includes a 90-minute photoshoot where you’ll be photographed in 3 different outfits, 60 professionally edited digital images available for download, a large softcover album filled with your favorite photographs, a print-release form (which gives you legal permission to print your images), and access to my client wardrobe if you’d like to borrow outfits instead of purchasing your own.

You can also save $75 by booking a weekday appointment, bringing the total to $524.

3. The Bombshell Package: A Luxury Boudoir Experience for $1,100

Best for clients who want a more pampered experience, including professional hair and makeup styling.

If you've been dreaming of a boudoir photoshoot that feels like a special occasion from beginning to end, the Bombshell package is the right fit! Bombshell days are so much fun! Everyone gets to feel like a supermodel. It is definitely a special experience most of us never get to have!

For $1,100, the Bombshell package includes professional hair and makeup on site at the beginning of your appointment. I cannot express to you enough how much I love my hair and makeup team! They are as kind and warm and funny as they are talented. We’ll photograph you in 4-5 outfits, and you’ll receive 80 digital images for download, a large softcover album, a print-release form, access to the client closet, and you can also save $100 by scheduling a weekday appointment. We will also probably be best friends by the end, but that’s free.

What Should Be Included in the Price of a Boudoir Session?

When comparing boudoir photographers in St. Louis, it's important to look beyond the starting price! A lower advertised price doesn't always mean a lower final cost, and a higher price doesn't automatically mean a better experience. What matters is understanding what's included and deciding which features are important to you. And make sure you actually like their portfolio! Here’s mine.

Be sure you understand how many edited photos you will actually get to keep, so you aren’t surprised to find out at the end that what you paid was only a “sitting fee.”

Is Boudoir Photography Worth It?

Absolutely! But I think it's important to define what worth it means for you. You don't need to choose the most expensive package to deserve beautiful photographs. You don't need to have a particular body type, buy expensive lingerie, or arrive feeling completely confident, either.

Please find yourself a photographer who makes you feel comfortable, explains what's included, and helps you understand your options before you commit.

How Do You Choose the Right Boudoir Photography Package?

If you're still unsure which package is right for you, here are the main things to consider:

Budget. Start with an amount you are genuinely comfortable spending, and remember that sessions can be paid for in installments. You shouldn’t feel pressured to stretch your finances for a photoshoot.

Time. If you’re a little nervous, a longer session may give you more time to relax and get comfortable.

Number of photos. Would you be happy with a small collection, or would you prefer some variety in both photo amount and outfits?

Hair and makeup. If being professionally pampered by a glam squad sounds appealing, Bombshell is the way to go! If you already love the way you do your own hair and makeup, have a talented friend who can do it for you, or can manage to schedule your shoot on the same day as your bridal trial, then save your money, honey.

By the way, you don't need to have every answer figured out before reaching out. I'm happy to help you understand the options so you can make a decision that feels right for you! I love talking about boudoir.
